A source that I believe provides a lot of great information is a page on History.com about Hammurabi. The link is attached below.

A source that depicts Hammurabi's pre-reign, reign, and post-reign in great detail is this page by Ancient History Encyclopedia. I think this is the most detail you will find on Hammurabi other than reading a book on him. It provides great insights into what life was like back then and why Hammurabi made the choices he made. I highly recommend this webpage.

A book that would be beneficial to read is The Code of Hammurabi, which actually includes the laws that Hammurabi created. Below is the link of where to find the book if you have interest in reading it. If you do not wish to purchase it, I would recommend checking out your local library to see if they have it so you can fully see the extent of the laws that Hammurabi brought about to Babylon.

The Avalon Project from Yale Law School depicts the Code of Hammurabi in the below webpage. They listed all of the laws and also give detail as to what was happening with Hammurabi at the time he created his code. It is a good resource to have all of the codes, especially if you choose to use the internet rather than a physical book, like the one listed above.

This is a very simplified version of the laws for someone who may have a basic interest in this topic and is curious to see what laws were written but to not go too much in detail. If this is the case for you, the below link is perfect for the information you are trying to find. Make sure you read all of the laws so you have a sense of everything that was important to note in their time period as well as to see how things have changed/remained the same since then.
